GREAT
NORTHERN TRAIL This fantastic sounding route is slowly but surely taking shape. You can already ride a short section of south-east of Cullingworth that crosses the spectacular Hewenden Viaduct and links to Harecroft. When finished it will link Queensbury to Cullingworth and be a vital cross-moorland link in West Yorkshire's part of the National Cycle Network. By the time you read this work may well be complete on a section between Queensbury and Cockin Lane near Thornton. Those who like rougher trails can use it along with the many ridleways in the area, including a spur of the Pennine Bridleway. www.thegreatnortherntrail.co.uk |
